Este manual fue desarrollado como una herramienta para que los logopedas/terapeutas del habla tengan una guía para realizar la evaluación de la Apraxia del Habla Infantil en español. Esta no es una prueba estandarizada, pero se basa en pautas obtenidas a través de investigaciones científicas. Debe usarse para obtener información sobre las habilidades motoras del habla de un niño y se puede utilizar para determinar el diagnóstico y planificar el tratamiento.
Este examen informal consta de 7 secciones que incluyen actividades oromotoras, y diadococinéticas, lenguaje automático y producción de sonidos, sílabas, palabras y frases. Dependiendo del nivel de habilidad del niño, es posible que al principio de la intervención, no pueda completar todas las secciones.
Este manual también viene con un protocolo descargable e imprimible, para que se utilice en evaluaciones iniciales y evaluaciones comparativas.
